OUR MISSION
Nova Home Care is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to provide free, dignified home care to individuals receiving palliative and end-of-life care or living with a chronic illness, as well as respite and psychosocial support to their caregivers.
We are celebrating over 125 years of community support.

Our StrENGTHS
Free, high-quality care rooted in dignity
Our organization offers a concrete and deeply human solution: enabling people who are ill to remain at home, surrounded by their loved ones, with their dignity fully respected. Through our support, hundreds of unnecessary hospitalizations are prevented each year, relieving both families and the public health system.
A continuous presence, when it matters most
Our services are available from 8 a.m. to midnight, 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends, precisely when the public health network is least accessible and needs are greatest.
A community-rooted public-private partnership
Working in close collaboration with 17 CLSCs on the Island of Montreal, we enhance existing services through our specialized multidisciplinary team: nurses, social workers, home health aides and massage therapists.
An essential safety net for caregivers
Our respite services and psychosocial support allow caregivers to rest, recharge and remain present, without losing themselves.
Personalized care, built on trust
Each person is supported by the same nurse or home health aide, week after week. This continuity builds a bond of trust that brings comfort to both the person receiving care and their loved ones.
A province-wide impact
Our palliative home care mentorship program, offered free of charge and accredited by the Faculty of Nursing at Université de Montréal, has trained more than 756 nurses across Quebec since 2019, a one-of-a-kind initiative that strengthens the skills of clinical teams where they work.
